Terms and Conditions

All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in our rental agreement. By proceeding with a reservation and rental, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of the rental agreement.

Pricing Policy:

  • Rental rates are subject to change without notice.
  • The rate confirmed at the time of reservation is applicable to the booking.
  • Any changes to rental duration, return location, late return or additional services may affect the total rental cost.
  • All rates are on per day basis, one day calculation is from 9.00am to next day 9.00am.
  • In some cases, as an exception we allow 24 Hrs system for our rental service, the vehicle should be returned before same time as pick up on the returning day.
  • GST/ Regulatory Tax as on date is applicable on the total bill amount as per the Government norms. Any change in the rate will be charged accordingly.
  • Late return would be charged as per hourly rental charges.
  • Pick-up and drop-off services of rented vehicle is provided at a nominal charge of ₹ 500/- per side for certain locations and is payable directly to the driver in cash at the time of delivery and pick up.

Deposit Policy:

  • A security deposit of Rs. 5000/- will be collected in advance and will be refunded upon the return of the vehicle in the same condition.
  • In case of higher end models, the deposit amount may vary.
  • 1 original Photo ID proof will be retained for security purpose. (Voting Card, Aadhar Card, Passport)
  • 100% Payment is due at the beginning of the rental period.

Reservation Confirmation and Vehicle Availability:

  • A reservation confirmation does not guarantee vehicle availability. We reserve the right to modify or cancel reservations based on vehicle availability, unforeseen circumstances, or other factors.
  • Vehicle models and features are subject to availability and may vary based on location and demand. We will make every effort to provide you with the selected vehicle, but we reserve the right to substitute it with a similar model if necessary.

License Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is compulsory (Preferably 2 years old).
  • A photocopy of the driving licence must be submitted at the time of car rental.

Limits of usage:

  • Unlimited kilometres are allowed within Goa state only.
  • The rented vehicle shall be used for legal and permissible purposes only.
  • Green Goa Car Rentals vehicles are permitted to be used within the state of Goa. It is not allowed to take rented vehicles outside Goa as per RTO guidelines.

Fuel Policy:

  • Our self-drive car rates in Goa are quoted without fuel cost and has to be borne by the renter.
  • Renters are required to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as at the start of the rental period. Fuel charges will apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.
  • No refund will be given if car is returned with excess fuel. 

Cancellation, Modification and No-Show Policy:

  • Booking can be cancelled or modified through the link provided in booking confirmation email sent at the time of booking. Alternatively, renter can contact our support team through phone call, WhatsApp messenger or by sending an email.
  • If booking is cancelled within 48 hrs. of car pick up time, 25% of total booking amount will be charged as cancellation fee.
  • In case of No Show, entire booking amount will be charged as no show charges.
  • Bookings during special occasions like Dussehra, Ganesh, Diwali, Christmas, New Year etc. and long weekends if cancelled 48 hrs. prior to pick up time, 100% of the booking amount will be forfeited as cancellation charge.
  • Although renter can extend the booking anytime, shortening the booking post start of rental period is not allowed. In such a case, no refund will be applicable.
  • Bookings would stand cancelled if after 4 hours of booking start time the renter still doesn’t show up. In such a case, no refunds would be applicable.

Refund policy:

  • All refunds will be processed through the same mode of payment that is used at the time of making the booking.
  • After receipt of booking cancellation request, refund will be processed within 7 working days. 

Vehicle Damage (Intentional or Consequential):

  • In case of any damage caused to the vehicle as consequence of the driver driving the car, renter will be fully liable for the cost of repair of the vehicle + loss of expected revenue due to the damage. Any unintentional or accidental damage to the rented vehicle will be liable for the repair as per the showroom inspection.

Examples include but are not limited to:

  1. Wrong refuelling of the vehicle.
  2. Smoking inside the vehicle and causing damage of interiors.
  3. Loss of key of vehicle.
  4. Driving in water loggings resulting into engine breakdown.
  5. Driving after under body damages resulting into engine break down because of oil drainage.
  6. Driving while under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.
  7. Driving with clutch over pressing etc.
  8. Damage to the vehicle resulting from towing and impounding due to renter’s negligence.
  • Renters are responsible for inspecting the rental vehicle at the time of pickup and reporting any mechanical issues or existing damages. Any new damage identified upon return will be assessed and charged accordingly as per showroom inspection.
  • It is advised that renters record a video of the vehicle before taking it in their custody. This is a proof of the state the car is in. The renter will be charged for any accidental damage as per the showroom inspection.
  • All cost associated on account of damage/ scratch to the car or theft of any accessories, to be borne by the renter.
  • If a major/small accident occurs, repair cost and garage downtime will have to be borne by the renter. Minor or major and accident repairs will be carried out only with the Authorized Dealers.
  • If the car is not clean at the time of return, additional Rs.300/- will be charged as washing charges.

Payment of Fees and Fines:

  • All traffic fines imposed by the RTO for non-compliance and violation of traffic rules during the rental period, must be paid by the renter.
  • The renter will be fully responsible for any damage, liability, fines, and legal action that may occur due to non-compliance of traffic rules and regulations such as over speeding, drink and drive etc.
  • Renters are responsible for paying all tolls at the time they are due.
  • If a renter is violating the rules, for example by over speeding or driving drunk, the renter will be responsible for all damage, liability, and fines and could face legal action.

Insurance:

  • Renters are encouraged to review and understand the insurance coverage details.
  • All vehicles are provided with basic insurance coverage.
  • Renter is expected to possess insurance that covers personal injury to renter or other persons as well as the vehicle and the property of others.

Indemnity:

  • Green Goa Car Rentals is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising out of the use of the rented vehicle or our services. Renter assumes all risks associated with the operation of the vehicle.
  • Regardless of insurance coverage, Renter shall fully indemnify Green Goa Car Rentals for any loss, damage, and legal actions,
    including reasonable attorney’s fees that Green Goa Car Rentals suffers due to Renter’s use of Vehicle during the term of this
    Agreement, including but not limited to, damage to the Vehicle, damage to the property of others, injury to Renter,
    and injury to others. This provision survives the termination of this Agreement.

By using our website, renter acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Rental Agreement.

 

The renter agrees to pay Green Goa Car Rentals the costs, charges, fees, and expenses set out in the Agreement, including specifically and without limitation those set forth in this Agreement.

 

Capitalized terms used in this schedule shall have the same meaning assigned to such terms in the Agreement.

 

Green Goa Car Rentals reserves the right to change the Terms of this Policy from time to time and shall give notice of such changes to the renter in a timely manner. Notice to the renter shall be considered given when such notice is indicated and accessible from the Home Page after the renter opens the Green Goa Car Rental’s website, or by email to the renters email address provided to Green Goa Car Rentals at the time of booking or most recently provided to Green Goa Car Rentals.

 

Renter agrees that the amended Terms and Conditions of this Agreement shall be effective and binding the earlier of (1) the effective date indicated in such notice; or (2) on the date posted on Green Goa Car Rentals website.
